A PTC file contains a color swatch used by PANTONE Color Manager, a program used to update and sync PANTONE color libraries in Corel, Adobe, and QuarkXPress design programs. It contains information about a color, which includes attributes that make up the color and the name of the color.

PTC files are used by PANTONE Color Manager to import custom colors into design software, which allows you to stay current with color updates. You can create colors and palettes from scratch or from imported images in PANTONE Color Manager.
